Frequently asked questions

Is exchanging money at the airport a bad deal?
Airport exchange counters generally offer worse rates than downtown shops. We recommend exchanging only a small amount for immediate expenses at the airport, and larger amounts at a downtown shop with a good rate. See the method comparison page for details.
What's the difference between SuperRich (Green) and SuperRich 1965 (Orange)?
Despite both using the "SuperRich" name, SuperRich Thailand (Green / OH!RiCH group) and SuperRich 1965 (Orange) are separate companies with different rates and promotions. We recommend comparing both before exchanging.
Which shop currently has the best rate?
Rates change frequently as each shop updates them. Our comparison page automatically highlights the current best shop as "Best" for the currency you select.
How often are rates updated?
We fetch publicly available data from each exchange shop automatically every 15 minutes. Note that the shops themselves update manually and not in real time. Sources that stop updating for an extended period are shown grayed out with a link to check the official site.
Can I exchange currencies other than USD?
Yes. Most shops handle major currencies such as USD, EUR, GBP, CNY, and KRW. Use the currency pair selector to compare rates for supported currencies.
Do rates differ by banknote denomination?
Yes. Many shops offer better rates for larger denomination notes (e.g. USD 100 bills), with lower denominations and coins receiving worse rates. Use the denomination selector to compare.
Where does this site's rate data come from?
We collect data automatically from each shop's official website or public API. We do not create or estimate any figures ourselves. See the About page for details.
Can I actually exchange money at the rates shown here?
This is an independent information service only; we do not broker, reserve, or transfer money. The rate posted at the shop counter takes precedence over what's shown here.
